Dr. Ian Thomson is a New Jersey native, born and raised in Bergen County. He
completed his Bachelor of Sciences in Kinesiology from Penn State University in 2017, with a
focus in Movement Science. He then moved on to graduate from New York Chiropractic College
in 2020, earning both his Doctorate of Chiropractic and Master’s of Science in Applied Clinical
Nutrition. Dr. Thomson employs a variety of soft tissue techniques, chiropractic manipulative
therapies, with an emphasis on functional exercise, to obtain optimal patient results. Dr.
Thomson aims to treat the entirety of the patient and he joins the Maywood Physical Therapy
team utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, treating the many factors contributing to pain.
Through his experiences in clinical rotations and a background in personal training, Dr.
Thomson has had the pleasure of working with a variety of age groups and abilities, to help them
maximize their overall function and quality of life. He works compassionately alongside each
patient, in order to create a thorough and achievable treatment plan to reach individual goals. Dr.
Thomson is an avid hockey fan, loves cooking/trying new foods, and hiking with his dog in his
spare time.
